As an active massage therapist, Melissa enjoys serving her clients. Her specialties include releasing chronic pain, especially in the neck, shoulders and back. Sessions are customized for each individual based on health history, assessment and client preferences. Your session is just for you and will be centered around your needs using a combination of techniques, including: myofascial release, trigger point therapy, sports massage, deep tissue, hot stone therapy, pregnancy massage, Swedish massage, hydrotherapy, foot reflexology, spa techniques and Melissa's self-developed deep tissue therapy technique "Myobalancing". In August 2008, Melissa opened Indulge Day Spa, bringing quality spa services to Salem ~ Massage Therapy, Facials, Waxing, Manicures & Pedicures, Light Concept Gel Nails, Facial & Body Sculpting & Permanent Cosmetics.
In addition to providing massage therapy in her private practice, Melissa also provides chair massage onsite at many workplaces in Salem. Utilizing her background in corporate marketing, Melissa brings her expertise and experiences directly to her students as a Continuing Education Provider for other LMT's, enhancing their marketing and hands-on skills through her courses. 2007 brought the addition of massage classes for the public and the launch of her new publication "Massage Monthly", a continuing education calendar for Oregon LMT's.
